Of course, not all nakedbus.com city to city bus tickets are $1, so how do we compare with the competition? We did a little test, trying to book between Auckland and Hamilton on Wednesday. The results were interesting. We looked for the cheapest fare available to an adult travelling one way. Here are the results:

nakedbus.com (cheapest) $1 (most expensive) $8
So, the choice is yours.

nakedbus.com passengers are realising that buying single tickets on nakedbus.com services can be much cheaper than buying expensive travel passes. With travel passes from [competitors] and others costing typically $100 or more, it is clear that passengers can get much better value by booking tickets for each sector of the trip as required. If passengers plan their trip ahead, they can pay as low as $1 per sector.
We think that is unbeatable.

We will add our new destinations: Kawerau, Opotiki and Whakatane shortly - you can already book trips to and from these places using the booking form.
My daughter at Otago University uses nakedbus all the time to come home and return to Dunedin. It is a great service and so cheap compared to competitor.
Congratulations to the great bus driver who drove us to Napier from Hamilton on 30th May and home again on 3rd June. His timing was first class and our price of $20 return was unbeatable
